About . . .

"F/11 & Be There" -- As I've aptly named my photoblog --- Twenty five years of it.  VERY often the "be there" necessitated stumbling out of the house at 5:a.m.  Not so now.  Now it's for the pure enjoyment of it.  For a few bucks now & again maybe, but not necessarily so.

OK, A word about equipment.

It was simple, rugged & traditional.  Pentax Spotmatic at first -- no frills, hammer nails with the thing if you want to.  Zoom Lens??? Never!! Nikkormat, OM-1, FM-2.  Mechanical all the way baby.  Autofocus ---  What Da???

Better still --  Mamiya twin lens C330.  Nothin' I couldn't (or didn't) do with this baby.  135mm f/4.5 lens -- best portrait setup you could imagine.  --- Don't even get me talking about an RB67, Koni-Omega,  Beattie Portronic 907 or a Camerz Classic.  (Google 'em if you need to).

Digital???  Me??  NEVER!!  I will stay pure at heart FOR EVER!! Yeah, right.  I LOVE it.  Right here, right now  ---  shoot to your heart's content.  Never again to pay homage to the great YELLOW  FATHER in the little box.

Two D-70's  now.  Why plunk down 5-grand for a D2-X when it'll be obsolete in a couple of years.
